About Me

Hi, I’m Duane. I have over 15 years of graphic design experience crafting websites, logos and identities, advertising creative, and marketing collateral such as annual reports, posters, brochures, book covers, retail merchandising, and more. Today, with my strategic partners Bill Erickson (that’s us, top center) and Erin Ortiz (who I’ve worked with for 10+ years) I primarily focus on logos and custom-designed websites crafted around our clients’ unique goals and objectives.

I studied advertising and graphic design at Kilgore College before transferring to University of North Texas to study communication design. After college, I worked in agency, publishing, and in-house environments before starting my own design consultancy. I am active in several design communities including the AIGA, the DSVC, and HOW.

This photo is my studio (no, I don’t work from home) in Dallas, Texas but I just relocated to downtown Richmond, Virginia—it might be the perfect city for a cyclist and visual artist. I’m currently building out a new studio space that should be ready in a few weeks (expect a blog post about my business moving experiece). My hobbies and interests include bicycles, fitness, sneakers, art, vinyl records, coffee, hip hop, and drawing things by hand. The photo at the top is recent; the photo on my home page is a year+ old; I’ve since lost 30 lbs. Yay fitness!
