No, I am not a developer. While I am certified in HTML and CSS when someone says “developer” they generally mean someone who is a programmer engaged in the coding (front-end & back-end) of websites and apps. That requires using programming languages and frameworks such as JavaScript, PHP, SQL, Java, Swift, React, Pearl, Ruby, and so on. Development is outside of my wheelhouse.
My particular set of skills are strategy, user experience (UX), user interface (UI), consulting, branding & logo design, and website & app design. For projects involving development, I work side by side with my development partners—whom I communicate with every day—to ensure my designs are built intelligently and to perform quality assurance (QA) on the final developed product.
